composition WORKSHOP
During the festival there will be a composition workshop in which students will work on a piece or movement for the ensemble Klexos or Distractfold, which will be premiered during the festival in concert. For this purpose, the composition students will have classes with the Italian composer Alessandro Perini, as well as reading sessions with the ensemble they wish to work with.
The instrumentation is free within the possibilities of each ensemble. Namely:
- Klexos: up to 4 saxophonists (sx, sx, sx, sx, sx)
- Distractfold: clarinet, violin, cello, guitar (cl, vl, cll, guit)
It will not be possible to choose an instrumentation that involves both ensembles. It is possible not to use the complete instrumentation (for example, a clarinet and guitar duet). The maximum time limit is 10 minutes. The pieces may contain multimedia or performative elements.

The registration fee is 200€ and will entitle you to at least:
- 2 sessions with Alessandro Perini.
- 2 reading sessions with the ensemble.
- Premiere of the piece/movement at the festival.
- Participation and attendance to all activities, concerts or round tables held during the festival.

- Brief résumé.
- Information or outline of the compositional idea to be carried out in the workshop (instrumentation, requirements, materials...).
- A score or recording of your own.
If you have any questions, please contact us by e-mail. We will notify as soon as possible the acceptance of your participation with the information to proceed with the registration. No later than May 29, 2024.
The organization provides accommodation and full board (from July 22 to 26) for €195 upon request.
